A high & heavy quote is never one price. It is the carrier's rate, the handling, the packing on rolltrailers, the storage and the services around them, each priced its own way.

CargoVerse CPQ for high & heavy logistics builds one quote from carrier contract rates and your own services. Handling, rolltrailer packing, storage and technical services are charges in the same library as BAF and port surcharges, priced per unit, W/M, freight tonne or day.

How a quote is built

The whole chain in one quote

Carrier rates in, customer price out

  • Contract rates from the carriers you book with
  • Your margin and terms per customer
  • Spot requests priced from the tariff

Every service as a charge

  • Handling, packing, storage per day, technical services
  • Per unit, W/M, freight tonne or day
  • Added automatically, overridable per customer

Equipment fit before you quote

  • How many rolltrailers the cargo needs
  • Stacked W/M and utilisation per trailer
  • Priced on the equipment really used
Equipment fit

Know the rolltrailer count before the price

Breakbulk pieces are loaded onto the largest rolltrailer first, stacked in height and side by side within its limits. What does not fit moves to smaller equipment, and the quote is priced on the result. More on equipment fit.

Contracts

Agreements with carriers and customers in one model

Contracts hold rate sets with their own validity, lines per port pair and cargo configuration, and the charges on each line. The same model covers what you buy from carriers and what you agree with your customers. Read how contract management works.

What CargoVerse does not do

CargoVerse is a commercial system for contracts, quotes and pricing. Stowage, stability and yard management stay in the systems built for that.

Frequently asked questions

Can CargoVerse quote handling, packing and storage together with ocean freight?

Yes. Handling, rolltrailer packing, storage per day and technical services are set up as charges in the same library as BAF and port surcharges. They are added to the quote automatically and can be overridden per customer contract.

How are high and heavy and breakbulk units priced?

Each charge has its own basis: per unit, per W/M, per freight tonne or per day. The quote shows the price per line and the total, based on the cargo's dimensions and weight.

Does CargoVerse plan stowage or manage the terminal yard?

No. CargoVerse is a commercial system for contracts, quotes and pricing. Stowage, stability and yard management stay in the systems built for that, and CargoVerse can exchange data with them.
